ever to make the jump directly from high school into  professional basketball following Moses Malone, Bill Willoughby,
Darryl Dawkins and Shawn Kemp. After a rocky start this 6'11'' 220 pound "kid"
has blossomed into one of the NBA's premier players. Early on
he drew praise from

The Minnesota Timberwolves made him the
fifth pick overall in the 1995 NBA draft. Kevin is a 10 time All-Star and
was selected to the 1999-2000, 2002-03, and 2003-04 All-Defensive team.
Kevin was voted the league's Most Valuable Player in 2003-04.
On July 31, 2007 he
was traded to the Boston Celtics in a seven-player deal.
